A discreet service for Forest Row and Hartfield
Browns Window Cleaning has worked across the Ashdown Forest with our valued clients for years. Village and town work contrast with rural properties where our clients have very specific expectations for their homes. We are valued for our thoughtful approach to window cleaning at these homes.
We are here to provide the complete window cleaning service you are looking for. We are proud of our extensive experience cleaning windows at country houses, and clients in modern suburban homes value the same dependable service. We are insured, DBS checked and noted for our discretion, for your confidence.

Forest Row to Groombridge, and the Ashdown Forest
The High Weald and Ashdown Forest form a very special area, and you are as likely to see us cleaning windows on rural lanes as the nearby villages. Crossing the forest from Fairwarp to Hartfield and Withyham, or from Forest Row to Groombridge, we put in a few miles between clients – but we love the work in this area, and the people we meet.
Your property may have modern glazing, or carefully painted wooden framed windows. We are properly equipped to clean these thoroughly and with the care and attention they require. We first plan our work around gardens and gates, parked vehicles, and your established planting. We then handle our equipment with methodical control around your property, working quietly and respectfully.
Modern village homes, country properties and conversions
We clean the whole window — glass, frames, doors and sills — gently and thoroughly, every visit. Most of our clients choose a monthly clean, and we’ll plan a schedule with you that suits your property and then simply get on with it.
We also clean glass roofs, rooflights, conservatories, glazed extensions, balcony glass, and windows on outbuildings and pool houses. Mention these when you enquire and we’ll assess them as part of your quotation.

Questions about window cleaning around Forest Row, Hartfield and Groombridge
Do you cover other areas nearby?
Yes. Browns welcomes enquiries from Ashurst Wood, Sharpthorne, Wych Cross and nearby northern High Weald communities. We are not tied to the villages; most of our work is rural.
Is the distance from central East Sussex a problem?
Browns is happy to travel where the property and work are a good fit even if it is farther than advertised. Your location and the scope of the work are considered when preparing your quotation, wherever you are.
Do you clean family homes, period properties and country houses?
Yes. Browns adapts the method to modern family glazing, older frames, extensions and larger rural properties rather than applying one approach to every home.
Can photographs help with an initial quotation?
Yes. Photographs showing each elevation, any extensions, roof glazing and restricted access help us assess properties around Forest Row, Hartfield and the wider Ashdown Forest.
